What is open access?
Open access (OA) is free online access to articles that have been published in this journal. The articles are freely available online throughout the world, for you to read, download, copy, distribute, and use as you wish. There is no permission required.
What is the Creative Commons Attribution License?
Biofrontiers applies the Creative Commons Attribution License (CCAL) to all works that publish. Under the CCAL, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their article, but authors allow anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy articles, so long as the original authors and source are cited. No permission is required from the authors or the publishers.
Who can submit?
Students who are perusing/completed their BS, BSc, B.Tech, MSc, MS, M.tech, Diploma and other integrated courses can submit their research project works as articles. See Instructions to Authors for more.
Who can be first author(s) and author for correspondence?
First author(s) should be Undergraduate or Graduate student and the author for correspondence. See Instructions to Authors.
Can there be more than one first author?
Yes, there can be more than one first author. The first author(s) should be undergraduate or graduate student only.
Will the Supervisor’s name included in the citation?
First author and corresponding author will always be the student, the order of the citation will be according to the order of authors which appears in the manuscript, if the supervisor’s name is not mentioned in the author list , it will be not included in citation but mentioned in the manuscript.
Can I submit my final year research project as article?
Yes, final year research projects done by students are accepted.
How to submit manuscript?
The manuscript can be submitted through E-mail to editor@biofrontiers.org
What is the format for manuscript?
The manuscript document should be submitted as .doc or .rtf format only, Images in .jpg, .tiff, .png formats only for illustrations. See Instructions to Authors for manuscript preparation.
Can I send supporting information along with the manuscript?
Yes, materials supporting the article can be sent as separate file(s) along with the manuscript. The supporting information can be documents, tables, images, excel sheets, ppt and also videos not more than 15MB.
What happens to the paper after submission?
The article is reviewed by the editorial board and acceptance is notified to the author for correspondence. See Review Process for detailed process information.
What is Submission Code?
Each manuscript submitted will be given an alphanumeric code acknowledging your submission. Any further correspondence made will be done only by quoting the submission code.
What happens if the paper is selected for publication?
Once the paper is accepted, the editorial board will contact the author for correspondence for further process.
When will be the accepted articles published?
The articles accepted for publication will be published in the following month’s issue. See Review Process
What happens if review recommends revision of the paper?
The editorial board will give detailed comments on necessary revisions and the author must make necessary corrections to proceed with publication.
How much does Biofrontiers publication of an article?
Biofrontiers charges a publication fee of US$75, for each article, however the review articles are published free of cost.
Why does Biofronters have article processing charges?
Biofrontiers charges a fee from the authors or research sponsors to cover the expenses incurred in reviewing, online hosting and archiving for each article they publish.
How can I pay?
You need to pay using either a debit or credit card , an e-mail will be sent with detailed instructions for accepted publications.
Does Biofrontiers offer waiver on Article-Processing Charges?
We offer a complete or partial fee waiver to authors based in any of the countries, which are classified by the World Bank as Low-income or Lower-middle-income. Click here to view.
Will the publication have an ISSN number?
Yes( ISSN 0975-4865 ), which means that the work cannot be published elsewhere.
